Abstract
To start the most earthshaking fact that should be stated is that the computer is a tool, and as with any teachingal tool, from books to crayons, it can be consumptiond to rear the curriculum and promote study, but it can also be misused and abused. In this essay, I will converse the typesetters case and effects on having computers in the classrooms. I will discuss how computers are misuse and abuse. I will also make why the tool can be an good precept school.
The most important aspect of computers in education is that they will drill and practice for the student. Unlike teacher instruction, which may become tedious over time, computers provide motivation to the student to stretch forth learning. Even from head-start programs, the experience of a prepared educator direct to significant gains in academic pursuit and knowledge. Utilizing computers in education makes abstract concepts indubitable to students who may be discouraged from learning material. In a many different studies in (2005) on the effectiveness of computers used in problem solving mathematics, he found using computers to be an ideal method of teaching.
Computers helped students to use their mathematical knowledge and stimulate them into making their thinking visible (Hurme, 2005). Tutorial programs, instructional games, problem solving games all dish out their purpose in stimulating the minds of children, but the most effective aspect of the computer is the Internet. The internet allows students to access monumental amounts of information, merge with many different cultures, and contains information on every field imaginable. Students can engage in programs like GLOBE, in which students participate in a national study by stack away and submitting data on local soil samples. Concluded that high scores were attained and a more positive societal climate was established.
