Aim
To investigate what is the effect of temperature of water bath on the rate of respiration released by eon required for methylene radical bluing to disappear.

20% yeast suspension
Distilled water
0.005% methylene blue solution

Variables:
Independent variant: Temperature of water bath, by heating the water or adding frore water.
Dependent variable: Time required for methylene blue color to disappear.
Control variables. Same concentration and volume of yeast coming from the corresponding pack. Concentration of sucrose (15%), coming from the same bottle to maintain good results, provided by lab technician, rule of container as if the container is bigger it might take more time for water to be heated therefore all the water baths should be of the shape.

It is important to repeat the test a reduce of times and get theÂ
average results, in order to tell on my results as precise as possible.Â
Procedure:
* I entrust be adding the substances to the test tube as shown below:
- 2cm yeast and 2cm 15% sucrose solution and make sure of the acquire volumes measure them by measuring pipette.
* Then I place the tube in the water bath at 20C for 5 minutes, measuring the time by a stop watch
* by and by that I added 4 drops of methylene blue to each tube and fit the bungs. Shake thoroughly.
* I returned the tubes to the water bath and did non shake any more. Measuring the time by a stop watch again.
