The novel the Scarlett Letter and the receive The Crucible have many similarities, including setting and piece of music. A common element with these stories is the setting. Both the Scarlett Letter and The Crucible take place in Massachusetts during the mid 1700s to the earlier 1800s. Many people were super religious during this time period. These stories are both based in a Puritan society, which has many beliefs and rules.
