In this chapter I cave in evidence that liberal art focuses on general knowledge that develops discerning thoughts and intellectual capabilities and that helps students become self directed learners. . The very split up asked me why I am in college well Im in college to get a degree and to progress my teaching method so I make money and not be a bum and dont have to live out on the streets. The Blooms Taxonomy is base on 6 levels of learning, The 6 levels of the Blooms taxonomy atomic number 18 create, evaluate, analyze, apply, understand-describe-explain and the last level is knowledge and remember. I overly exhibit that liberal education is one of the things that all EKU students have in common. When you go to EKU you gain multiple transferable skills. These are skills that you gained that are used in many different disciplines and career fields. . tailfin transferable skills that I need to improve are impressive writing and speaking skills, effective decision making, Carrying out tasks with thoroughness and precision, collaborating with others and uninflected skills.
I also need to get better at critical thinking and creative thinking, Five transferable skills that I might acquire are attending to detail, formulating and defending positions, leading synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles, explaining difficult ideas and complex ideas, and the last one avoiding bias and preconceptions.
some other thing that I read was coffin nail opener vs. Swiss Army knife. Swiss army knife is a generalist that means it completes many tasks in a limited federal agency but on the other hand a can opener is a specialist completes one task exceedingly well. If I had to choose I would be a generalist because I can do multiple things well. Liberal education impacts me because it can help the economy and make it better. I also read that critical thinking will benefit me in many ways.
