One of these was Erik Erikson, who developed a developmental speculation which incorporated eight stages that exist finishedout disembodied spirit. Eriksons developmental Theory The first of these stages exists within the first two years of life. This is the life stage of drive and hope, or trust versus mistrust. In my life, stage one, trust versus mistrust, was non stable because I moved from living with my biological dumbfound to my father having custody and living with my grandparents. It is during this stage that a child first learns whether their needs are going to be met which bear ons either other stage in life.

Although in general, my needs were met, feeling back on my life, my belief is that the transfer of custody as well as instability of living in a home with my grandparents and teenage uncle, there were inevitably some veto repercussions in my development leading to a fear of abandonment and feeling of insecurity. The strength which develops out of this stage is drive and hope. The impact of this stage is significant because this is when a child develops an understanding of the trustworthiness of society and the right of every person to exist. If this understanding is non sufficiently developed, the lifelong impact is significant even to the bear down of self-esteem issues or suicide.
